If you live in LA, or have even just visited, you know the traffic and parking nightmare that innocent Angelenos face every day. Being the brave soul I am, I refused to let the bumper to bumper congestion keep me from finding fun. Instead I thought, "How can I have a great time without trekking all the way across town?" That's why I chose to write on the places listed below. These Los Angeles gems offer a two for one type of deal, minus the Uber or long drive to multiple locations. I chose three of my favorite parts of this wild city and hunted for the best views, cocktails, and live entertainment available. Here's what I found!

1. Beverly Hills, CA

Caulfield's Restaurant & Above SIXTY Beverly Hills

9360 Wilshire Blvd. Beverly Hills, CA 90212

Start your night with the most flavorful short-rib grilled cheese or lobster BLT at Caulfield's Bar and Dining Room, voted "Beverly Hills' Best Kept Secret". Then ride the swanky elevator to the rooftop of the modern hotel for poolside panoramic city views and a cocktail.

First Timer Tip: Parking is valet and costs $10 for 3 hours if you're planning to drive.

2. Downtown LA, CA

Mrs. Fish & Perch

448 South Hill St. Los Angeles, CA 90013

Enjoy dinner, drinks, and a suspended aquarium in this underground hidden gem, Mrs. Fish, before making your way upstairs to the unbeatable views and cuddly fireplaces of Perch's rooftop bistro.

First Timer Tip: Downtown parking is often more trouble than it's worth, I strongly recommend Uber-ing to this bad boy.

3. Santa Monica, CA

M.i.'s Westside Comedy Theatre & The Craftsman Bar and Kitchen

1323-A Third St Promenade (In the Alley Between 3rd & 4th) Santa Monica, California, CA 90401 & 119 Broadway Santa Monica, CA 90401

With live comedy seven nights a week, Westide Comedy Theatre makes for a lively beginning to your weekend festivities. After laughing it up at an improv or sketch comedy show (costing less than $15), walk a quick five minutes across the street to one of the best bars in SAMO. With live music, games, and a photo booth, The Craftsman doesn't disappoint. Their 1920's atmosphere and cocktail menu just adds to the appeal.

Now throw on that Friday night outfit, blow up that group message with your best friends, and go enjoy this wonderfully fun city!
